Conservatism Has Trouble Admitting Errors Sometimes!

All things in Life are probably relative as the great scientist once mused, but in the world where I live, many Conservatives have no clue of what they are doing and most of the things they say and do are dead wrong. And, of course that is why I am a confirmed Liberal Progressive Democrat.

For those Trolls who are thinking of jumping onto my comments page to tell me how asinine and unfair I am being here, let me remind you that this blog, like all blogs, represents my personal opinion and is never presented as outright fact. (See my disclaimer page.)

Now, by the same token that I started this article out with, let me also say that Liberals, Democrats and Progressives have all the clues about what is right and wrong with the nation and the world and everything that we do or say is absolutely on target, unerringly, without fail and all the time. (Again this is my personal opinion– my own bigoted, arrogant [Nonetheless absolutely accurate] self-assessment born from 74-years of experience.

Well… maybe not ALL the time…We are human, after all.

Can I even admit when I am wrong about something?

I probably can admit it but that is no guarantee that I will because if I am nothing else, I am a crafty old bird!

I can almost assure my readers that no Conservative who I am acquainted with is ever going to admit an error. In fact, I don’t even think that most Conservatives  I know have the foggiest idea that it is even remotely possible for them to ever be wrong about anything.

Correct me if I am wrong! (Pun intended.)

As a Liberal, I believe with all my heart and soul that I am always right and that anyone who disagrees with me (Even a smidgen) is myth-guided.

Does the fact that I believe it make it true all the time? Probably not, but is that a relevant fact?  I think a lot of Conservatives must live by “Faith,” so why can’t I if I want to? I have “Faith” that I am usually correct in my assumptions, but only time will tell for sure.

Unlike some on the kook fringe, I can admit when I am wrong— sometimes!

I have decided and it is my opinion that the only time many Radical Conservatives  can be believed is if they tell you they are going to do something to put the screws to your finances or your freedoms.  I think that if they tell you something like that, you can believe it as if it were The Gospel itself.

I think that everything else they have to say can be opened to question. (And probably should be).

But then that is me and what do you expect?  Am I not one of them there Godless, filthy, dirty, hippie, commie, nazi freaks that hold to the ideologies of compassion and care for the middle class, the elderly, the poor, college students, immigrants and all those other pesky genres of humanity?

You betcha!

Is it just me or is it true that every conversation with one of these people turns into some kind of “Conspiracy” conversation within a few minutes?

I think some of them went absolutely bonkers the minute it was announced that Barack Obama had been elected as President.  I think that single historical incident was enough to drive a lot of them over the cliff and they still have not regained their composure– if, in fact, they ever will. That is my idea of what happened to a lot of them.

I am an American Man, 72-years-old, and a Veteran of The U.S. Military. I have served honorably in both The United States Army (National Guard) and The United States Air Force for a total of seven years and three months active duty during what is now known as The Vietnam Era. I am a concerned citizen and refer to myself as "A Crazy Left Wing Liberal Nut Case with occasional Right Wing Conservative tendencies. I am particularly concerned and grieved about the way our beloved America seems to have become so politically divided over the past few years to the point where hardly anyone seems to be able to get along or to work together and where mutual vilification seems to be a spectator sport of some kind. I am particular fearful that we might get to the point, in our internal power struggles where we would be a One Party Nation. That, in my opinion, would be a total disaster and that is what I fear certain members of the element generally known as The "Christian" Conservative Right may have in mind.
