I am an American who has become disillusioned with many aspects of our government but primarily the partisan workings of the congress and senate, illegal immigration and the loss of individual rights.
I believe it is time for “a little rebellion” against those elected officials that cater to the whims of their political parties, big business, big government and special interests, rather than the people who elected them.
It is not necessary for those of you who disagree with my personal views to spend time insulting me or finding fault with my opinions. Better yet, take the time to post your own views so that others can decide with whom they agree or disagree. Although not an intellectual or a writer I have found that I feel better after venting here on this blog, even if no one is reading it.
I speak as a Joe Plumber or any other average American citizen that does not consider themselves to be anything more than an average blue-collar worker with something to say. “Too bad all the people who really know how to run the country are busy driving taxi cabs and cutting hair.” George Burns might have had it right. I might not say it properly, posess a writers skill or an academics wisdom of the written word but what I do have is passion for what I believe in.
“I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere.” Thomas Jefferson
I use many of Thomas Jefferson’s quotes throughout this blog. When possible I try to place them according to the subject matter.
